1979 Atelier is a jewelry brand based in New York City. You can reach us at info@1979atelier.com.

You can use our site if you are at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Don’t use our site to break the law, copy our content, hack us, or harm other users.

All content on the site (photos, text, logos, designs, jewelry imagery) belongs to 1979 Atelier. Don’t copy, reuse, or sell it without our written permission.

We try to show our jewelry as accurately as we can, but colors, sizes, and finishes may look different on your screen than in real life. Each piece is shown with its own description and measurements.

Some pieces are made by hand or in small batches, so small differences between items are normal and part of what makes them special.

Prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD) and don’t include taxes, customs fees, or shipping unless we say so. We can change prices anytime, but we won’t change the price after you place your order.

We do our best to keep our site accurate, but if we list a wrong price or description by mistake, we can cancel your order and refund you in full.

When you place an order, you’re making an offer to buy. We confirm your order with an email, but we can refuse or cancel any order. Reasons we might cancel include:

• The item is out of stock
• We spot a pricing or product mistake
• We suspect fraud
• We can’t ship to your address

If we cancel, we refund you in full.

We accept the payment methods listed at checkout. You promise that the payment info you give us is yours and is accurate. Your payment is processed by a third party (like Stripe or PayPal), and their terms apply too.

We ship worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times depend on where you live and what shipping method you pick. We’ll send tracking info once your order ships.

For international orders, customs fees, import duties, and taxes are your responsibility. These charges are not included in your order total and are collected by the carrier or customs office on delivery. Check with your country’s customs office if you want to know what to expect.

Once we hand the package to the carrier, delivery is on them. We’re not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged packages, but we’ll do our best to help you sort it out.

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery on most items if they are unworn and in original condition with all tags and packaging.

Items we don’t accept back:

• Custom or made-to-order pieces
• Engraved or personalized items
• Sale or final-sale items

International returns are accepted on the same terms, but you cover return shipping and any customs fees. We can’t refund original shipping costs or duties paid on the original order.

To start a return, email info@1979atelier.com with your order number. We’ll send return instructions. You pay return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or wrong.

Refunds go back to your original payment method within 7 to 10 business days after we receive the return.

Jewelry is delicate. Avoid water, lotions, perfumes, sweat, and rough handling. Store pieces separately to avoid scratches.

We stand behind our craftsmanship. If your piece has a manufacturing defect within 7 days of delivery, email us and we’ll repair or replace it. Wear and tear, lost stones from drops, broken chains from snags, and damage from misuse aren’t covered.

For repairs after the warranty period, contact us for a quote.

We give you our website and products “as is.” We don’t promise the site will always work without bugs or downtime.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, 1979 Atelier is not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages from using our site or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in New York County, New York.

We may update these terms anytime. Changes are effective when posted. If you keep using our site after changes, you agree to the new terms.
